I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug in my early high school days working my paper route, and clearing driveways and sidewalks in our neighbourhood in the winters.  Fast forward to the late 90’s working 3 years as a Realtor and then 6 years as an owner/operator of an 18 wheeler, little did I know I was being prepared for the finesse and stamina required to begin a career as an independent General Insurance Advisor. Since 2004, with the tireless assistance of my patient wife Heather, and of course several staff throughout the years, I have opened and successfully grown 4 insurance locations including what is now my favourite (and last!) – Switch Insurance.  Switch Insurance is my favourite because it is different and better than any other program I have been involved with.

From the owner/manager perspective Switch Insurance demands expertise, diligence and proven results of the independent owner, prior to opening day.  On the other side of the coin, Switch was founded on the belief that with their expectations comes serious obligations to provide markets, training and support for the front-line office.  The attention to marketing, back-office support, and focus on the success of the individual independent Switch Insurance brokerage, is why owning and operating a Switch Insurance brokerage will be my last insurance endeavor; there is absolutely no reason to not to stay here for the rest of my career.
